It was a Bosch OEM pump in a Bosch box so I think it should be okay.
Reviews of spare parts for Volkswagen
Zimmerman plain discs are great.
Meanwhile, the new shocks and springs really made a difference while driving. Noticeably smoother than before, less noise and clunking.
Using the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and the ride has been phenomenal until now. Amazing grip and silent too on high speeds. Just that they're quite expensive compared to other brands. Currently done 30k kms on them. Had a sidewall rupture once which fortunately got covered under warranty.
My Polo came with Apollo, worked okay and lasted till 35k. Replaced them with continental uc6 and man it makes alot of difference, be it noise, comfort or grip. Been using for last 15k and looks almost new without a single puncture.
I feel no difference in pedal feel or stopping distance. It's the aesthetics that made the difference for me.
Well, years ago, I purchased a dui Mk. II Golf which had been slid sideways and kissed a curb or something. Anyway, I learned that cast iron will, indeed, bend. The lever arm on the spindle (where the tie rod attaches) had actually bent in the arc when it made rather swift contact with the curb.
I owned one for about a year. Loved the car, wish I could have kept it. That being said, it was only in drivable condition for about half the time I owned it. I replaced the alternator, fixed the air suspension, redid some vacuum lines, tried to repair the front diff, and that's where I gave up.
Also don't opt for Zimmermann. Go ATE, TRW or Textar. Trust me. Been there regretted every penny I spend on those death traps.
