One big advantage is they have a timing chain, so no worries about replacing the timing belt.
Reviews of OEM Mercedes parts For Business

Two years ago I had a Mercedes GLC windshield replaced, had a similar crack. I paid a $100 deductible and my insurance paid for the rest at Safelite. It is an OEM windshield. I’m from Los Angeles.
I've had my 23 year old MB my whole life and have never had so much as a chip. I've heard loud things hit my windshield plenty of times.
1984 300sd i do 3k oil changes and 5k fuel filters. You can feel the difference. Thats why i do it often 41 year old car? I want another 10-20 years from her.
I have a 1983 Benz 300TD with almost 400k miles. -ORIGINAL CHAIN
If you skipped maintenance on an E-Class it would be the exact same story. Bushungs, stabilization links, brake pads, rotors, etc.
i paid for it in my 24 E350. it's ok. if i had it to do over again i'd go third party, mostly because the rear camera is stowed 99% of the time, so it can't be used as part of the dash cam.
Smells like an old man’s Walgreens aftershave. I was so horrified when my husband got in the car after it went off because it smelled like a questionable dude. I cannot believe I wasn’t given a preference. It randomly would come on. Thank God it finally ran out. ????
Same crap on my 10 years old Merc with the cooling system. First reservoir, then water pump.
Just bought a new G63, same issue!
