I have a nice set of mk3 1993-1999 volkswagen jetta smoked e-code headlights. Better light output than factory US headlamps.

Wow, adjusting the steering rack tension made a huge difference, car feels way more responsive now.
My Passat still has the battery it came with lol 6 years in the Arizona weather, I'd say that's pretty good.
My Jetta is a 99 and I've replaced the battery once. The first lasted 6 years and the second is still going at almost 7 years. Unless I'm lucky factory batteries will last longer than store brand.
it was just over 115 for the battery at the dealer, install was easy, as soon as you get creative it could become more difficult. for the money its not a bad battery
Rear brake pads replaced at 42k.
I've noticed a similar problem with the windshield in my 09 CC. Both the stock windshield and the replacement one (an oem VW replacement) that they put in after my accident have like a rippling effect to them that's noticeable when your looking out towards the passenger's side when making a turn. The ripples go from side to side.
Well, just got back the test results on for our oil analysis, here are the comments: " Nothing showed up in this sample that's too much of a surprise, though aluminum and copper are perhaps a little higher than expected. New parts wearing in tend to leave a lot of metal in the oil and that's what we suspect is going on here. You ran this oil pretty long for factory oil (we realize you were probably only following the oil life monitor). So that's why aluminum and copper are on the high side. No matter--everything should improve now that you've changed this fill. The TBN read 1.9, getting low but still okay. Potassium is from the EGR system. "
I just changed the oil on my TDI at 15,000 miles and when I pulled the engine cover it looked factory fresh under the cover. Meaning there was no evidence that the dealer even made an attempt to change the cartridge filter. I was very, very careful not to spill oil on the engine components but still managed to get oil on the white mesh heat shield next to the filter housing. When I removed the cartridge filter it looked extremely dirty and gunky.
As a former TDI owner who had their HPFP blow up at 28,000 miles, I'd suggest going with the 2.5 and calling it a day. I can't speak to the exact mileage you'll achieve with a good amount of highway driving, but for me there's no way I'd own another CR TDI from the VW product group until they figure out why they have $8,000 ticking time-bombs under the hood
