Was told to replace all my discs and brake pads too a few weeks back when I did my MOT. Tight on money atm so decided to do it myself and I’m glad that I did because I saved myself a lot of money, only paid for parts and then a few hours of my time. Ordered the whole set from AutoDoc and the total was £220 for Bosch parts, so not exactly budget either. Also, garages with cheapest quotes might opt to use budget parts which could end up squeaking etc, so just keep that in mind, but I’d say do it yourself if you wanna save the most money.

Pros: saved money, easy DIY

Cons: budget parts may squeak

2013 Elantra with 145k miles. Replaced the Brake pads and a couple spark plugs. But it’s been an amazing purchase.

I do not recommend these for the street, however the track performance is off the charts.

They’re track/race pads, but I rarely track my car. It’s not a daily, just a fun weekend car, but I find the pad performance to be amazing and they’re not noisy like everyone says they would be.

Just for daily, whatever the best Duralast pads AutoZone had to offer with some centric blanks. For the mountains, I run Carbotech AX6 on DBA rotors and love the performance they offer. They just dust like hell and their expensive, so I don't run them back home.

Pros: great mountain performance

The pads on my 2019 Alltrack are wearing nicely as there is plenty of life left at 52,500 miles.

So far I've ordered EBC Yellow Stuff pads (I've heard mixed reviews but the best alternatives seemed to be ~$500 a set so these will have to do)

I put OEM Brakes on my ‘19 3 GT AWD. I’m 20K KM into them, and they pulse like mad when I brake above 90KM/h. Absolute fucking trash. The factory brakes also did this, above 90KM, but started around 50K into their life.

Cons: pulsating brakes, poor quality
