Price is right. Drive it; does it feel tight?

The B4s are better than the factory struts and shocks.
KYB good stuff. Put all 4 on my 97 golf 6 yrs perfect.
I had this happen on two Audi I own. The rubber inside the struts where it folds develops micro tears and leaks air overtime. I took one strut and inflated it underwater with the dust shield off to see where it leaked from. The rubber usually starts to crack around the 10-12 year mark. So plan on replacing struts around that time in Audis.
I also put MK2 Scirocco sway bars on her car, front and rear, and with Sachs struts all the way around, it handled and rode fantastic.
I know Bilstein struts will sit higher than normal. Even though they are supposed to replace the oem struts. I had the same issue and ended up just using the Bilstein B8s with lowering springs.
How does it ride? Is it a little rough? And by that I mean is it bumpy? If yes then you’ll need to do some struts and shock maintenance.
B4s are trash.
Extended strut in photo is missing a small spacer that goes on top of the piston before you add the first bushing perch, which basically just makes it the same as the standard strut on the left. I switched to the standards because I wanted to lose 1" of lift to bring me down to 2" of front lift. As you can see, there is nothing really "extended travel" about these. The reason for the added 1" of lift is because the perch is higher and adding more preload on the spring. After having these side by side, don't waste your time or money on the extended travel struts. Just get the standard struts, and get the appropriate spring for the weight and lift you want. Extended struts seemingly offer no benefit to down or up travel, and only make the ride harsher by compressing the spring even more.
I no longer use any quick struts. The ride sucks and they just don't last.
