Alternator OEM FORD or Denso
I used a Denso re-manufactured unit through Napa on a 2014 Camry a few years ago. Many short trips as it gotten 4 teenagers through high school. Still going strong.
I went with a reman denso and it's been a while but I swear I remember reading the remans were better than new.
Only only only get oem alternator. They won’t last otherwise. I believe the brand is denso. Other brand only lasted 3 months in mine.
Get the denso reman. Most reasonable option vs buying a new denso at the dealer. Main difference is no Honda logo otherwise absolutely identical.
Denso reman if you don't want to do this job again.
Replacement is absolutely fine as an option, but I recommend going with a genuine brand as originally specced for the vehicle (Denso, AC Delco etc). Some aftermarket brands like Jaylec (just an example of brand, not quality) aren't built to the same standard and can be underpowered.
Denso, nippon, aisin are the only brands you should be looking at for an acura.
Honda Alternators are crazy expensive. I don\u2019t recommend aftermarket unless you can get a Denso.
Could just be a crappy parts store alternator. I use Denso only for replacement.
Denso is usually one of the top ones, if they've tanked in quality I shudder to think how bad oem GM, and mopar/stellantis has gotten. I still have nightmares from absolute shit quality of GM parts, alternators and starters barely lasted over a year.
