Battery Tesla or Duralast
I have a ‘21 (Dec 2020) M3 LR AWD w/19”. I’ve put 52K miles on it so far. Generally speaking, I’ve seen very little degradation.
Pros: very little degradation
Cons: range overly optimistic
Mileage: 52000 km
I bought a used 2019 LR in 2020 and my estimated range is 302 miles with 48k miles.
Pros: 302 miles range
Mileage: 48000 km
I used the duralast from autozone.
I use duralast and get about 4 years on a battery. No complaints at all.
Pros: long lifespan, reliable performance

Outback has a Duralast Gold. If it helps, we’ve had some harsh -30°f days the last few years since I upgraded my battery. No issues what so ever on it.

I’ve had two duralast batteries in my 02 24v and they’re so old I honestly can’t remember when I put them in. But I’d say they’re about 6-7 years old, probably more. When those batteries finally give up I’ll definitely be getting new duralast batteries.

2020 SR+ 51K I get about 229 miles at 100%, advertised range was 250 when it was purchased new.

A month ago I bought a 2022 M3P with 7k miles, was at 310 estimated fully charged, now 280 all of a sudden at 10k miles.

I usually run the Duralasts just because AutoZone is everywhere and I usually get it replaced twice before the warranty runs out - Phoenix is brutal on batteries.

Cons: short lifespan, frequent replacement
