I personally have the Zimmerman Rotors, and Akebono pads. Great, cheap setup.
Zimmerman-Akebono combination is blizz
I use Zimmermans too & EBC red stuff pads much less dust then standard & nicer bite

The front and rear bearings were replaced, new rotors and calipers for both, with mk4 rear calipers and the larger 11.3” driver’s edition calipers and rotors from the brake bible, with their new lines, pads
I use Zimmerman rotors and OEM pads from fcpeuro. I like the bite the oem pads have compared to ceramic. More brake dust yes, but I want a car to stop as fast as possible.
I've run Zimmerman rotors with EBC red stuff ceramic pads. No complaints.
Had some rotor problem but it went away after i installed some spacers.
I was fairly unimpressed that the brand new rotors out of the box have some surface rust. I suspect these have been on a shelf for a long time.
Am I right to be upset that I was told the rotors are warped because I went through a puddle with hot brakes? Costing me $1300 to fix!
