Shock absorbers FOX or Sachs
Ended up moving into a 2019 3500, and doing a Thuren 1.75 level with the Fox shocks and AEV 17" Saltas and 37" Falken AT4s.
After experiencing them... as a cheapskate... id pay full price, absolutely worth it
I just installed Sachs shocks, and I love the ride
I’ve had both for a rwd N52, currently on Sachs. But the Sachs are still really good and worth it for the savings over the B4.
I don't have a lot of comparison points, but I went Fox and love them. Great ride, but not at all sloppy, and really improved the handling.
My local BMW shop suggested the OEM replacement Sachs and I agreed. Im very happy with them. Made the bumps much more manageable while still retaining that BMW stiffness we love about these cars.
I went with Sachs dampers which are OEM but sportier than my stock zhp dampers. I don’t regret it one bit
I put Foxes on about 1500 miles ago, they’ve been great so far. It’s all about the driving you do - I’m 100% on road, so they work for me.
I've had a number of BMWs and VWs with Sachs shocks leak after 40-50k miles. It's not like they totally fail and collapse, they just start having much slower rebound and faster compression.
They put on new oem Sachs shocks, which are too soft.
