Tires Continental or Triangle
Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02s are a bargain for a flagship summer tire that's excellent in the rain. I have them on my Si and run them daily and for autocross. While not as as sticky as a 200TW summer tire, they are really great in dry or wet conditions, and reasonably priced. I also had DWS06+ on my previous daily, a 2013 328i, and I liked those too.
I think a good tire is [Continental Tour] with a skin wall. It's made for Dynamo and includes a light safety belt.
I use it on my old bikes.
I had Continental DWS 06+ on my 2023 BRZ with a different wheelset and was extremely happy with them. I specifically tested them for grip in the wet and they were way better than the summer performance Michelin those cars come with as standard.
I went from the stock Firestone Destination M/T on my Willys Sport to the Continental TerrainContact A/T and they’re fantastic. My job changed and I have to highway drive about 100 miles round trip everyday. It was a huge difference. Quiet, great ride (for a Gladiator) and my mpg improved, I regularly get 22-23 on the highway with occasional 24-25 vs the sub 20 on the M/Ts. I can’t speak to the off-road element on these, I haven’t had an opportunity. Give them a look.
I bought Continental DWS06+, Honestly way too much tire for the car but I can go flat out around pretty much any wide corner and Ive developed a bad habit of braking too late because my tires are grippier than your mom.
I'm based in Toronto, Canada, and I have two sets of wheels for my 2024 GTI. The summer set consists of 17 inch wheels with Conti Extreme Contact II tires. These are pure summer tires, very quiet and excellent traction.
I have continental tires after the OEMs needed replacement-
Very happy with them - mileage etc no change that I can see - quieter also
Just got a set. Much quieter than stock conti 19 with 32k on em. My wife’s jaw dropped when she heard the new tire road noise levels difference. Very smooth not overly rigid at all. Would gladly buy again. Don’t hesitate
I’m switching back to Avid Ascends or Continental Trucontacts here before winter.
One of ours was constantly losing pressure, none of the other three ever needed more air, but the same one was constantly dipping under 30 - never went lower than 24 though.
