Tires MICHELIN or YOKOHAMA
Michelins PS5 are available here in 215/45/17 size (also nonRF), which based on several reviews it should fit perfectly (Michellins PS5 are naturally narrower than any other tires and come with no tire protector, so the size won't be all that much different than my current Toyos which are wide as hell outside of the thread + my car is lowered & cambered, and I am running 20mm spacers which can be removed if needed, so no issue with fitting), and this is going to be my next purchase -> unconditionally the best UHP tire I can get in this size on this market - I am currently running them on a C43 and I am in love (4S in this size range are not available).
I purchased Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 225/40 R18 92Y XL BSW through Discount Tire for my '16 GSW TSI SEL w/DAP & DA. They are a decent tire and aren't as loud on the highway as my previous tires.
When I had my Altima, I used michelin primacy 4 which was very good, made the ride comfortable and quite.
I went with Michelin defender ltx m/s and they rock. Plenty comfortable.
I've had no issues with mine; grip for days. Not sure what better ride would refer to. I don't think they're overly noisy, by any means.
A really popular tire is the Michelin cross climate 2. But I think they prioritize snow and rain performance. Nevertheless, I have them on my work car and my brother on their pilot and both seem like a nice ride.
Those are absolutely amazing tires because they grip so well in the winter plus they handle like sporty high performance tires on winding mountain roads.
I appreciate seeing the tire conversations here in particular because I have a 2019 GX460 Premium (no lift, Lexus rims, nothing special yet) and tires are a fresh concern but I don't mean to hijack a topic on two other specific tire models, and if it's inappropriate I can delete this, but has anybody got any thoughts on Yokohama Geolandars for a GX?
I've run 2 or 3 sets on my former vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Rogue, and they were simply fantastic.
Have experience with Kumho vs Michelin pilots 4s.
Similar price (ish). Kumho are rubbish. Completely changed the handling of the car for the better when I went on the pilots.
You wont get mileage though.
I have nothing to add but that my X-Ice 3s are terrible on wet and dry pavement.
