Gasoline direct injection turbos are subject to problems with soot and fuel dilution. This combination is especially problematic for timing chains. No matter how good the oil, you can't beat a reasonable oil change interval for ensuring your oil doesn't have soot in it.
Reviews of spare parts for Subaru
Oil being dark is a good indicator that you have to do an oil change. However, you shouldn't wait until it changes color to do it. Clear oil doesn't necessarily mean you can keep going.
It is well established that boxer engines want their oil changed and I do not think for a second that a visual inspection is valid for determining if it is time. Highly, **highly** recommend you change the oil per the manual without hesitation and regardless of what it looks like.
I had a Yellow top optima installed for my subaru around 2015, it lasted until just today - held out well
To me it looks like brake pad material on your rotors due to your street pads melting. Slap a new set a cheap pads on there from Autozone or something and drive it for a week or two that material should come off. As long as you don’t have vibration while braking they should still be good. Just make sure to use track pads next time. I personally run StopTech 309 pads because they’re good on track and street
Definitely get aftermarket windshield. Pilkington is the one you're looking for, they're much stronger than OEM glass and eyesight works perfectly
The oem glass were made cheap, so I used a aftermarket windshield glass on my outback. Best decision I made. It\u2019s been 5 months and I have t had any issues with it.
On her 2023 that needed a replacement after the first month? No aftermarket available so it'll be the second replacement again unfortunately.
Just had my windshield replaced. A chip turned into a crack sadly.
I think my windshield is more chiped than unchiped at this point.
