Crushed filter seen here as well, with low oil pressure light randomly firing at idle. Factory filter is only a couple bucks more (that\u2019s what went in yesterday) - problem solved!
First time removing bodywork, and it was a little finicky, but it all came together (minus one tab). I had a set of trim removal tools that was super helpful. Otherwise just a couple Torx bits, no lift. Took 3h all in.
Well, the brake pads aren't stock - I've replaced them a few times.
Good year weather ready tires are very good. I would get them for my winter setup if they came in 15's and my buddy just put them on his golf r as his winter setup.
i am going to be doing the VAQ service within the next month and most likely swapping the brake fluid for motul rbf 700 .
i use kroon oil , 5w40 on my mk6 R . i hear liqui moly is better but you do your own research based on the brand.
I’ve been using EBC Yellowstuff on my mk7 gti for track days and daily driving. My first front set lasted 2.7 days (basically dissolving in my last run on one side). However, I’ve thought brake feel is good and I’ve now run a new set on new rotors for 4 track days. They look fine?
VW of macon charged me over 600 for just the front pads and rotors - that's with a friend's and family deal because my dad used to work there. Apparently the OEM parts are super steep.
The Alenza Sport tires on my 2022 Id4 RWD are falling apart after only 9K miles. The 2 front tires are peeling, same as Mrdingdong23 said in the initial post.
I have owned a lot of new cars over the years but the Continental tires on the Arteon are the worst. I have replaced 3 tires over 3 years due to bulging in the sidewall.
