Reviews of spare parts for Volkswagen
I am running those in my car now and they are perfect!!
I can tell you that after my trip to Mexico to perform a few high speed tests and stops after the pads were bed in, there is zero vibration with this setup. The front end is rock solid under hard braking.
I can tell you that after having my EBC slotted rotors and greenstuff pads on for several months, I am very happy with the upgrade. The setup I have now bites better than I could have hoped for.
My '13 VR6 Sport w/navi and the 18" wheels (OEM Continentals, not Goodyears) has been great through its first 9K miles. The ride is fine, tires are quiet enough and seem to be wearing OK
Motul is quality stuff. I had a MK5 and drove it about 90k miles and I put Motul every 5k and my car always performed well.
Stock springs with Bilstein TC = "Most Comfortable" Everything else is a compromise between looks, comfort and handling.
The Bilstein sports are a good choice for a cupkit. I think the ones I have are Bilstein HD. They came off my old vr gti. So far Im happy with them
I have an 07 Rabbit with the same 2.5L. I tried Mobil 0W40 one winter. It was OK for about the first 6000 KM, then the engine began to sound like a diesel.
The stock pump failed back in Feb 2010, so i ordered a GRAF pump with metal impeller from ECS Tuning. Purchase was made on 1/27/10, parts got here on 2/03/10, and I installed pump late Feb 2010. Mileage was 127,257 when pump, timing belt, tensioner were done. In the middle of 2010, a loud grinding started at the front passenger side of the engine. I took everything apart and found the water pump with bearing grease or some waxy chunky crap all over the outside of it and on the inside of the timing belt cover like it splattered, and the pump leaking from the shaft. Car now has 135,362 miles on it, so thats complete pump failure within 8,069 miles.
