I replaced the original belt on a 1997 ranger 2.3 last month it looked about the same and had 126,000 miles

I had installed a 4bbl. carb, intake manifold and a set of shorty headers.
Ford equivalents use double link chains for the timing system. They last much longer than Mazdaspeed timing chains and are quieter. Reliability wise, they are solid. People use them all the time for speeds and beat the hell out of them.
a Ford Focus ST Mk3 steering rack is like the GPS for your car - it helps you navigate those hairpin turns like a boss!
My personal recommendation is a Ford OEM filter, 10qt Pennz Ultimate Platinum 5w30, and one bottle of Ceratec to help with the infamous "Coyote tick". Many will argue for Ceratec, many will argue against. All I know is my car is quieter with than without.
A friend of mine had a 2010 ( or 2009 ) Fusion Hybrid that needed a new battery, he went to the dealer and he was quoted over $8K. He then found $3K 'aftermarket' batteries and at the end he was able to find a shop that did the whole thing for under $2.5K.
The fender apron starter solenoid on Fords is a weak design. Very common for them to fail and it's extremely distressing when the engine starts with the starter still engage to the flywheel.
About 145k timing chain started slapping
About 67k on the clock, 17 plate. Engine blew on a dual carriageway. Took it to a proper, full-fat Ford Dealer and Repairer to have a look and turns out, bad belt. They tried to replace the engine but they couldn't work out how to fit it, nor code it correctly. Ridiculous. Always had Fords, but this entire experience put us off them completely.
I have a lease 2020 transit, put it in for a new timing belt at 96k miles, drove a further 500miles after belt change and engine blew, found fault to be a bolt snapped on belt pulley, engine now scrap!\nThis van has full ford service history at every interval, and top-up oil was correct Castrol grade used everytime, garage told me they have three other vans in with same fault!
