my biggest complaint, and probably my only real one, is the road noise. The interior can be pretty loud, especially on the freeway. I’m fairly confident that most of this comes down to the stock tires, because otherwise the car feels tight and well put together.

I was worried about the ’26 CR-V Sport Hybrid headlights—no fog lights or steering-linked lights like my Subaru—but they’re actually really bright and clear. No regrets!
Nice. 2011 here (also bought new) but I did all four brakes at 68K miles. They had some life left in them according to the shop, but they just started feeling a tad soft, and my brake pedal was getting a little to close to the floor for comfort.
The first thing he recommended was to change the fuel filter every second service, i.e. every 25k miles, instead of every fourth service as Honda recommends. My car still averages well over 60 mpg every year, and 2025 was the most economical yet, so I consider his advice to be tried and tested.
Honda starters are known to be finicky about voltage - they need that full 12.6v or they'll grind like crazy. I'd try a decent battery first before messing with the starter, way cheaper fix
The headlights on my 2026 TSE are too bright. even on low beam I constantly get flashed. When I’m not getting flashed the lows are considerably brighter than past cars I’ve owned
What’s up with the weak headlights? My 5 year old Pilot (also with factory LEDs) just light up the road way more, throw is farther, and output is wider.
I had a 2015 civic LX, a CVT... it lasted me nearly 8 years. Yes, I changed the cvt fluid with oem like I was supposed to. The transmission failed last month at 166,510.
Same thing just happed to us. 2014 Accord with 88k miles, CVT transmission inside belt snapped. I was in the car when it happened. No warning symptoms, no dash lights, just suddenly stuck on the side of the road.
Go with Mazda due to CVT transmission in Honda. Honda CVT failed at 65000 miles and had fluid changed twice at 30k miles intervals.
