Running Carbotech XP8 and XP10 here. They’re great on track, and also very usable on the street. I’m currently not switching back to my EBC Yellowstuff pads because the Carbotechs aren’t bad enough on the street to justify me switching pads (yes I’m a being a little lazy). They dust like mad though and are quite squeaky.

Pros: great on track, usable on street
Cons: lots of dust, squeaky

OEM Honda Brake pads

I am easy on brakes. I coast to stops and don't speed either. I have a 2009 Fit. I swapped the front pads and rotors at 120,000 miles just because. They totally did not need to be swapped. I have since put 97,000 miles on the replacement pads and rotors. The ceramic pads I installed have plenty of life left. The rotors are near the end, but still work.

Pros: long lasting, good quality
Cons: rotor wear
Vehicle: Honda Fit
Mileage: 217000 km

The xp12s are beasts. I pulled brake bias 1-click from full rear to get them balanced on level braking. This gives me one click for more rear, which was really enough for the track. I love late braking, and I can hammer these on a 20min session with NO change in performance.

Pros: very aggressive, no performance fade
Part number: XP12

I sometimes daily drive on Carbotech XP10 front XP8 rear, and they’re totally fine but they dust and squeak like mad. First braking when cold isn’t super grabby but totally doable for a daily driver pad. They’re grabby once warmed up on the street but nothing to be worried about. I’ve gotten ~10,000 miles of driving and two TNIA track nights on a 450hp 3500lb car, and i suspect they can last a lot longer than that based on the pad wear I’m seeing.

Pros: long lasting, good grab
Cons: dusts, squeaks
Mileage: 10000 km

Just for daily, whatever the best Duralast pads AutoZone had to offer with some centric blanks. For the mountains, I run Carbotech AX6 on DBA rotors and love the performance they offer. They just dust like hell and their expensive, so I don't run them back home.

Pros: great mountain performance
Cons: lots of dust, expensive

OEM Honda Brake pads

For years my brakes on my CRV squeaked. My dad replaced them. A few other people/shops worked on them. Still squeaked. I'm talking YEEEAAAARRRRRS. I resigned myself to being *that person* at every friggin stop light. Needed new brakes again. Unique situation as it was, the Honda dealership ended up doing it. It was like $500 but they stopped squeaking!!!! It was heavenly to be a silent stopper.

Pros: stopped squeaking
Cons: brakes squeaked for years
Vehicle: Honda

I have a ~375whp WRX about the same weight as your car and am running Carbotech XP10 / G-loc R10 (they're the same pads) and have had no fade.When I installed my front bbk I ran the Stoptech sport pads and they were not enough, swapped to the R10s and had zero brake issues all day.

Pros: no fade, zero brake issues
Vehicle: Subaru

Carbotech Brake pads

Over 25 track days I tried : RBF600 + stock pads -> Failed

RBF600 + powerstop -> Failed

Endless + Carbotech xp12 -> Great but wore off quick

Endless + CSG -> less bite but much more durable

Pros: great performance
Cons: wore off quick, less bite

OEM Honda Brake pads

When I had my Honda, a freak incident occured involving pads. I was coming up to a red light and I just heard a "thunk" and next thing I know, I had little to no-brake power. Took the wheel and caliper off, and somehow the outer pad had completley vanished....no joke, gone, nothing left, not even a shred of metal.

Cons: outer pad vanished
Vehicle: Honda
