I'm rocking 110k miles on the original pump here on a 2015.
At 48K miles I experienced an alternator fail (car was running great at the time).
I agree with all of the points made. I bought my Jetta for a daily driver with a 60-mile round trip commute. The fuel economy has been the bright spot.
I have no issues. Mines a 2017 with 86k miles (used to do only highway for 4 years).
Pros: one owner, it runs, and aside from the headlights, it's all stock Cons: Interior is rough, body has dings and dents, needs quite a bit I drove the 300 miles to Savannah to see it. Though I was after a high mileage example to stay under $10k purchase price, I'm not sure I was ready to take this on. But, it drove fine (albeit maybe it was too quiet). Chains have never been done, but there are no chain/guide noises. It starts right up and purrs quietly.
I'm flushing our 14 Tiguan this weekend cause the coolant is nasty as hell.
Mine failed in my 2015 Golf after 11,000km.
The front brakes have suddenly started vibrating under a heavy load on my Alltrack. The dealer replaced all rotors and pads just before I bought the car. the new brakes have about 6k miles on them.
OEM glass doesn't distort around the perimeter. We got an aftermarket window for our Alltrack and were disappointed.
