I changed all sparkplugs now my vw is running great. make it's the correct sparkplugs.
check the charging at the battery while the car is running about 2000 or 2200 rpm with multimeter. The alternator should be charging at 14 volts (give or take a little)
I just replaced the one from my 1996 Passat Tdi. 326k miles on it. The alternator still works too!
The oil spec for the 1.8L engine in my 2019 Golf Sportwagen S 4motion is 502.00 (5W40). After my last oil change at the dealer I questioned whether they used the correct oil because the service ticket was written up wrong. The dealer supplied these photos to show how the different grades of oil are actually different colors. The oil on my dipstick was caramel colored, so I knew it was the correct grade for my car after all.
If you want to start off cheap, replace you're radiator cap. I had it happen once where the seal went bad and then it started leaking.
It's the pad compound and v. common for VWs. Often first thing in morning when there is moisture on them and moreso in reverse. You can do new pads and use something like a ceramic compound, it's a cheap fix.
I just put the VW OEM roof racks on my 2020 Tiguan R_Line. They make quite a bit of noise. Noticeable at 60kmh.
I got front rotors and pads replaced do to wrapped rotors, on my 19 sel-r with little over 11k, on my second one have no issues so far
Next job to tackle is the weak brakes. Going to start with a brake master cylinder replacement because when I'm sitting at a red light, the pedal goes from hard for about 20-30 seconds to softening up and going to the floor with no clamp force anymore until I pump the pedal again.
