2015 Passat 1.8L TSI 170,00 miles. De-carboned the combustion chambers and cleaned the spark plugs. Resolved slow response to accelerate. No oil consumption after 3k miles so far.
I changed the original timing belt on my 2011 TDI Golf at 192,000 miles and the belt still looked good.
Ive tried other plugs that are oem spec but not from VW and I like the way the oem plugs work better.
I have a 2024 Jetta S with the 6 speed. Mine used about a 1/4 of a quart of oil in the first 500 miles. I topped it off and it hasn't use any since, now at 5K.
My Mk4 R32 Golf was the most reliable car I ever owned. (9 years)\u2026 until the timing chain snapped at 250,000 kms.
12,000 miles, 9 months on my 2023 ID.4. The factory wipers are definitely done. That's not awful, but definitely not great considering I live in Colorado and we had a pretty dry summer.
My GTI’s water pump shat itself around 60k kilometres too :( going strong since but it’s a very common fault unfortunately
VW has gottta address these strut mounts, because they suck.
A couple weekends ago I first tried to tackle the issue with the brake pedal nearly hitting the floor while driving, I figured it was do to the brakes needing to be bled, so on a weekend I put the car up in the air, proceeded to snap both bleeder screws on the calipers, swap on used ones off my red 16v and bleed the brakes.
